Mary was a Starbucks barista on UNCP's campus and Kara was an avid coffee drinker and also attending UNCP- They were bound to meet at some point. Kara would walk in to Starbucks and talk to Mary nearly every day. Mary would make Kara's drinks extra sweet (as a barista this is a form of flirting). After a few months and a lot of caffeine, Kara invited Mary to a party. It was then they realized this relationship was a latte more than they thought it would be. They spent the next few weeks immensely spending time together. Finals week started and there was a lot of love and excitement, and studying was on the back burner. Even though they both ended the semester strong, looking back they are not sure how they survived. Mary began to learn the importance of NFL football (especially the Detroit Lions) and Kara discovered how to properly separate white and dark clothes to do laundry. They have traveled to New York, Washington D.C, Asheville, and the Bahamas. Mary has graduated with two degrees and Kara will graduate before the big day. They have done things together that they would have never done separate. And now they are getting MARRIED! See you in Wilmington, NC!
