Things To Do

Multnomah Falls

Multnomah Falls

OR 97014

On our first trip to Portland together, we visited Multnomah Falls with family! If you get in early and have a little extra time, check out this beautiful site along the Columbia River Gorge about 45 min-1 hour outside of the city. It'll definitely be worth your time!

Powell's City of Books

Powell's City of Books

1005 West Burnside Street, Portland, OR 97209
, (800) 878-7323

This incredible used bookstore takes up a whole block of the city of Portland. It's one of main tourist attractions and for good reason. It's one of our favorite date spots in Portland. Grab a latte at the coffee shop and a book for a little reading getaway. Hopefully, it'll be open again in April, so double check before you go!

Haystack Rock

Haystack Rock

Cannon Beach, OR 97145

Mary grew up going to Haystack Rock on beach vacations with her family. Fun fact: Joseph went to the coast the day before he met Mary and was blown away by its beauty. If you get in a day early, drive out to the Pacific Coast and check out Haystack Rock. The coastline is majestic and gorgeous. Grab a few friends and make it a day trip!

Lady Hill Winery

Lady Hill Winery

8400 Champoeg Road Northeast, Saint Paul, OR 97137
, (503) 678-1240

Located 30 minutes outside of Portland, Lady Hill Winery is owned by our dear friends, the Owen family. Their wines are superb and the winery itself is beautiful! Joseph and Mary's favorite wine is their "Procedo."

Mt. Angel Abbey

Mt. Angel Abbey

Mount Angel, OR

The Abbey is deeply loved by both Mary and Joseph. Mary grew up going to the Abbey, due to a close friendship between her parents and the monks. Joseph attended Easter Vigil Mass there with Mary and her family in 2019. Abbot Jeremy Driscoll will be celebrating their marriage.

Tov Coffee & Tea

Tov Coffee & Tea

3207 Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard, Portland, OR 97214
, (541) 908-2555

This double-decker coffee shop bus is "Joe approved." He happened upon it the morning of the day he met Mary, as he explored Hawthorne Boulevard. They take their coffee seriously and so does he. One time they even refused him cream in his espresso, because it would ruin the integrity of the drink. They proved themselves in that moment.
