The Dress Code for the reception is Cocktail Attire/Semi-formal: Ladies should wear Midi or Maxi-length dresses or cocktail dresses. For gentlemen, suits or dress pants and jackets requested. Note, it will be hot! Lighter colors and fabrics are welcomed.
20-25 minutes before the ceremony starts would be ideal to choose your favorite seat!
There are many different options for parking at St. Mary of the Mount Church: 1. St. Mary of the Mount Church Lot at 403 Grandview Ave. Located beside and behind the church and accessed from Grandview Ave, this lot is carriage parking (cars line up bumper to bumper) and includes several handicapped parking spaces in the entrance driveway. 2. Bertha Street Lot. Located across the street from the St. Mary of the Mount Parking lot accessed from Bertha Street. This is a "park at your own risk" lot. It is gravel and has no particular lines. It also gets a bit soft in the rain. 3. Street Parking where available. There is parking on Grandview Ave. and the surrounding streets. Saturdays on Grandview you may have to pay for parking before 6PM.
For the reception, there are multiple different options for parking. The Terrace at Hyatt House offers valet event parking for guests at $5.00 per car. Other parking options include the Ingot garage next to American Eagle or street parking on 28th Street.
It will be summer in Pennslyvania so it will be hot and humid. We recommend wearing something that you will be comfortable in the PA heat! As it is a summer wedding, lighter colors and fabrics are welcomed.
Our wedding ceremony is indoors. Our wedding reception will be in a tent outside!
Please RSVP by 6/20. Any RSVP after this date may not be accommodated, as this is when our headcount is due to the caterer and hotel.
You are welcome to bring your children to the Nuptial Mass and the Reception. Please let us know as soon as possible if you will be bringing them. If you need a high chair for your child, please reach out soon, as we will need to coordinate with the hotel to provide one.
Space-permitting, we will reach out to you closer to our date if we believe we can accommodate your plus-one if they were not originally invited.
