Why I recommend this: Provence is best explored by car, and you'll likely want one anyway for visiting villages like Eygalières, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, and Gordes. Option 2: Fly into Paris + TGV Train Fly into Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). Take a high-speed TGV train to Avignon TGV Station. Rent a car or take a taxi for the final 20–30 minute drive to Le Mas de La Rose. The hotel is about 20–30 km from Avignon. This is a great option if: Flights to Paris are significantly cheaper. You enjoy train travel. You want to spend a few days in Paris before heading to Provence.
