The sand dunes are just under a two hour drive from Buena Vista but for the adventurous at heart the trip is worth it! A strip of rolling sand dunes curiously located at the base of majestic mountains. Its basically a giant sandbox.

Buena Vista River Park is at the end of main street in downtown Buena Vista. Its a great place to sit and admire the beautiful Arkansas River. The park also connects to miles of easy going trails and is adjacent to a disc golf course.
