Cottonwood pass offers stunning views and is known for excellent fall colors usually in late September.
Mount Princeton Hot Springs
Mt. Princeton offers beautiful views and a variety of pools to soak in. There are also spa amenities and a full service restaurant on site. A perfect way to spend a relaxing day in the shadow of the idyllic chalk cliffs.
Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve
The sand dunes are just under a two hour drive from Buena Vista but for the adventurous at heart the trip is worth it! A strip of rolling sand dunes curiously located at the base of majestic mountains. Its basically a giant sandbox.
River Park
Buena Vista River Park is at the end of main street in downtown Buena Vista. Its a great place to sit and admire the beautiful Arkansas River. The park also connects to miles of easy going trails and is adjacent to a disc golf course.
Eddyline Brewery
Stop by and enjoy a beer from one of our favorite Colorado microbreweries. The food is excellent at the main brewery location as well!
Outdoor Activites
There are truly too many options to list them all there are numerous hiking trails, opportunities for kayaking and fly fishing on the Arkansas River and even mountain biking trails.
