We met at Dirty Dawgs Saloon. Benny walked up to my group of friends and I, he asked the group "Would any of you ladies like to dance?". My friend jumped on the offer and she danced with him. He only had eyes for me though, so he tried again until I took his hand. Benny sang along low and slow as we danced and we introduced ourselves to one another. I might have stepped on his boots a few times but he was super fun to dance with so when the song ended and the next one started we danced together again. He was cute and witty and made me smile so I gave him my number...and so our story begins.

We flew out to Yuma, AZ for my brother's military promotion. My parents and most of my siblings were there to celebrate my brother. The day before the promotion we decided to go out to a pretty balcony at sunset to take family photos. While we were waiting for the sun to set Benny played music on his phone and we danced. When the song ended my sister said "Hey Mary look at the sunset". I turned to her confused because the sun still was not quite setting and I saw my family was holding letters spelling out M A R R Y M E. I spun back around to see Benny on one knee and a ring in his hand. I was surprised, happy, and excited and I said yes! He said he had a whole speech planned out but I did not give him a chance to speak.
