At the start of the covid lockdowns Mary was still in school and Colin was just getting home from living in FL. Colin was at the same “get together” at Castleton that Mary was at and he needed a game partner and asked Mary if she wanted to be it. Of course she said yes! Now they didn’t exchange numbers. So as time went on Colin couldn’t stop thinking about her and asked one of his buddies if they knew her and they gave him her socials and the rest is history!
At Winslow Farms Colin and Mary went to go cut down a Christmas tree with Woody and Skida. After about 20min and finding the perfect tree, Colin started sawing it down stopping shorty after and asked Mary to go hold it up so it didn’t fall. In true Mary fashion she complained. But did it anyways went over to the other side of the tree, wiggled it and said “you’re not even halfway done yet” so she walked around the other side and when she did Colin was on one knee and asked her to marry him. Just the two of them and the dogs. It was very sweet and sentimental!
For our wedding we decided on a Thurdsay, not only was it cost efficient, it will also allow us to celabrate and spend time with our family over the weekend. We will use the day after the wedding as a recovery day. Then will then have lots of fun things planned for everyone to do over the weekend. Some planned events will include meals, skiing at Killington, slegh rides, ice skating, sledding, hiking and cross country skiing. If you have kids bring them along (We have local babysitters to help out.) Just because they cant attend the wedding doesnt mean we dont want them to spend the weekend with them. Family is really important to Mary and Colin and we want everyone to enjoy the long weekend we have planned.
