Our Story
We met at Oktoberfest 2019 through a mutual friend (shoutout Hallski!) Cam knew through law school and Mary knew through her roommate at the time. Mary made a memorable first impression by being the only one in a dirndle, and Cam had a fresh battlescar on his forearm from biking in Boulder. Of course, this was one of the first things Mary noticed due to her “unique” love of burn and wound care that led her out to Colorado in the first place. We had each just begun new phases of our lives, so neither of us were looking for anything, but we were always thrilled when we got to see each other out and about. Fast forward to March 2020 when COVID shut everything down… but opened up the doors for us to finally have some quality time together since we had to make plans to see each other. Once Mary got COVID after working in the ICU, then subsequently gave it to Cam, it was game over. And the rest is history! And the present and the future and the reason for celebrating our love today. Cheers!
