Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Mary Sawyer and Caleb Arehart
We are so excited to celebrate with you in the city we love—and we hope you'll treat this trip as more than just a wedding, but a little vacation, too! Our ceremony takes place on Thursday before the long weekend, which means you'll have plenty of time to explore everything that makes Atlanta special: the neighborhoods, the food, the history, the music, and the green spaces. We don’t expect you to spend the entire weekend with us—we want you to get out there and experience the city! Whether it’s visiting the BeltLine, eating your way through Buford Highway, checking out the aquarium, or relaxing in Piedmont Park, Atlanta has something for everyone. We’ll share a few of our favorite local recommendations, but feel free to wander and make the trip your own. We can't wait to hear all about your adventures!

Ponce City Market

675 Ponce De Leon Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30308

Hustlin' and Bustlin' indoor food court right off the Beltline. Located in the old Sears building, this is a good starting point to both Atlanta, and our neighborhood!

Georgia Aquarium

225 Baker Street Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30313

A phenomenal experience for the whole family. We are the only Aquarium in the world that has whale sharks!

High Museum of Art

1280 Peachtree Road Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30309

A beautiful multi-level museum in the heart of Midtown. (Wear comfy shoes, trust us!)

The Carter Center

453 John Lewis Freedom Parkway Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30307

An in-depth stroll through the life and work of the late President and humanitarian Jimmy Carter. They have an amazing local farmer's market on Saturday mornings!

Kudzu Antiques + Modern

2928 East Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur, GA 30030

Fun quirky antiques store that has a little bit of everything. Labor Day weekend can tend to be a little crowded in Atlanta, and this is a great place to get off of the beaten path!

Little Five Points

Atlanta, GA 30307

Atlanta's own counter-culture neighborhood. Go to the Euclid Avenue Yacht Club and tell them Mary & Caleb sent ya', this is where we first met! On second thought, you will more than likely see us there!

Downtown Decatur

Decatur, GA 30030

We can best describe Downtown Decatur as a Norman Rockwell painting come to life. Walkable area with numerous shops, bars, and restaurants with an emphasis on locally owned businesses and artists. This is where we do our Christmas shopping every year because we know we are going to find something unique (don't let our families in on the secret!!!).

World of Coca-Cola

121 Baker Street Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30313

It's Atlanta, it's Coca-Cola. Need we say more?

Children's Museum of Atlanta

275 Centennial Olympic Park Drive Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30313

Do you have a child? Do they love slime? Then this is your place!

Atlanta Botanical Garden

1345 Piedmont Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30309

We don't have the poetry of language to describe how beautiful our garden is. Go see for yourself!

Lenox Square

3393 Peachtree Road Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30326

For those of you wanting to fill up the remaining space in your checked bags, and potentially see a cast-member of Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Six Flags Over Georgia

275 Riverside Parkway, Austell, GA 30168

What better way to beat the Atlanta heat than whipping around on some roller coasters?

For all the days along the way
