FAQs

The Wedding Website of Mary Schindler and Ayal Prouser
Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love kiddos! But for one night only, we want to hang and party with just YOU! So pack your dancing shoes and your party pants, but leave the kiddos with other responsible adults.

Question

Can I Bring A Guest?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate this special day surrounded by our closest family and friends! We're keeping it tight so only those formally invited can be accommodated. If you have a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation and when you RSVP.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We clean up pretty nice and know you do too! Cocktail attire is encouraged.

Question

Will everything be indoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be indoors, but bring your coats still! We will do a second line immediately following the ceremony, and also because the views just one block away are unreal!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The average high temperature in New York City on December 7th is around 41°F (5°C), and the average low is around 31°F (-0.5°C). It's typically a chilly time of year in NYC, but that makes it all the more magical!

Question

What is a Second Line

Answer

The Second Line is a New Orleans walking parade tradition that celebrates joy, music, and community. It usually features a lively brass band leading the way while everyone follows behind dancing, waving handkerchiefs or napkins, and joining in the rhythm. All those who are able are welcome to parade with us out the front door, walk around the corner and enter through the side entrance of the building for cocktail hour.

Question

What is a Hora

Answer

The hora is a joyful circle dance that’s a highlight at many celebrations! Guests join hands and dance in large circles, moving energetically to upbeat music. At some point, the couple is lifted into the air on chairs while everyone cheers and dances around them. It’s a lively, community-centered moment that’s all about celebration, togetherness, and pure fun — no special dance skills required! If you see people forming a big circle, jump in and join the party.
