If you find yourself itching to sight-see around San Diego while you're here, there are lots of places to go! 

BALBOA PARK is about 25 minutes from Escondido, built in Spanish-style architecture, and is one of the most iconic spots in SD. It hosts museums, gardens, theaters, restaurants and coffee shops–and a huge Christmas tree for the holidays! 

THE HOTEL DEL CORONADO is a located right on the water and is the crown of Coronado Island (and a personal favorite of the bride). Go for the beach-side ice-skating, stay for drinks on the deck! 

DOWNTOWN ESCONDIDO offers a lot to do if you want to stay close by. Enjoy coffee and breakfast sandwiches at KETTLE COFFEE & TEA, lunch or dinner vibes at local favorites TONY PEPPERONI PIZZERIA, BURGER BENCH, or STONE BREWING CO.

TORREY PINES and LA JOLLA SHORES are great coastal spots with beach, hikes and picnic spots.
