FAQs

Question

What is the easiest way to get to Salem from Logan Airport?

Answer

By car (~30–45 min). Uber, Lyft, or a taxi from the terminal will bring you straight to Salem. Expect roughly $40–60 depending on traffic. By train (~1 hr). Take the free Silver Line from the airport to South Station, transfer to North Station, then hop the MBTA Commuter Rail (Newburyport/Rockport line) directly to Salem. It's about $7–12 and drops you in downtown Salem. Tickets are easiest through the MBTA mTicket app. By ferry (scenic, seasonal). If you're arriving midday and feeling adventurous, the Salem Ferry runs from Boston's Long Wharf to downtown Salem — a beautiful ~50-minute ride along the harbor. You'll need to get into Boston first. Schedules can change, so double-check train and ferry times closer to the date!

Question

Is there parking at the church?

Answer

The church has very minimal street parking nearby. There is parking at the Hawthorne Hotel where the reception will take place. If you prefer not to walk, there will be a trolley making trips from the Hawthorne Hotel starting at around 3:30. For those that don't mind walking, the church is about an 8 minute walk from the Hawthorne Hotel through Salem Common. There will not be arranged transportation from any other location.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

The reception and after party are adults-only (16+), aside from a few immediate tiny family members.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We recommend formal attire (slightly dressier than cocktail attire). For men, we suggest a suit and tie or tux. For women, we suggest mid to longer length dresses. The bridesmaids will be in burgundy dresses.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, we can only accommodate those invited on your formal wedding invitation. Your invitation will be addressed as {Your Name} & {Guest} if a plus one has been given to you.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 10.
