All Day → Slate Property open for campers arriving today. Drop your gear, say hello, and get ready for an unforgettable evening! 5:00–8:00 PM → 💛 Wedding Reception at Tandem Friends School Join us for dinner, drinks, laughter, and love as we celebrate our marriage! 8:30 PM → 🔥 After Party & Bonfire at The Slate Property Head back to the river for late-night fun, s’mores, music, and stargazing. 🛶 Sunday, October 19 – Paddle 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM → Launch from the Slate Property and take out at Blemo Bluff. Bring your paddles, floaties, and your best post-wedding stories! 💫 We can’t wait to spend this magical weekend with you! Love, laughter, campfires, and a little river magic await.

A Wedding Reception Potluck! The best memories are made around the table, and we’d love to celebrate with the dishes that bring you joy! While it’s absolutely not expected—especially for our out-of-town guests—if you’re up for bringing a favorite entrée or appetizer to share, in lieu of gifts, we’d be so grateful.

After the reception, we’d love for you to keep the celebration going with us under the stars at a beautiful property along the Slate River, generously made available by the float fisherman club we’re a part of. We’ll be camping there ourselves and would love for you to join us around the campfire for a relaxed night of laughter, stories, and riverside magic. If you’d like to camp on the property, you’re more than welcome—just please let us know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly. It is BYOT (bring your own tent) or camper. We can’t wait to share this special place and unforgettable evening with you! There are limited electrical and water hookups available, but plenty of space for tents. A bathhouse is on site for your convenience, so you’ll have access to restrooms and showers. We can’t wait to share this special place and unforgettable evening with you!

If you’re up for more celebrating after the reception, we’ll be spending Sunday afternoon doing one of our favorite things—paddling down the Slate River. Kayaking and canoeing are totally optional, but if you want to soak up a little more time together in the fresh air and sunshine, we’d love for you to join us! Please let us know if you need a boat or tube (weather dependent). We recommend leaving a vehicle here. We will paddle to this spot. Take out: Boat Landing Rd New Canton, VA 23123
