We haven't set a date, but... ASAP please :) We know, we’re doing things a little different. Our priority is to have as many of our loved ones there as possible - so we are giving ample notice! We are asking for your commitment as early as possible, so that we have time to plan the catering numbers and sleeping arrangements, since we are coordinating everything for everyone, and all you really have to do is show up!!! If you plan to participate (barring any emergency or unforeseen life change, of course) just RSVP YES as soon as possible so we know to expect you. If you want to stay on-site, please send us at least a portion of the money now as a deposit to secure your spot. Or, book your own accommodations now if staying with the hotel room block! And yes, of course, if an emergency comes up and you have to cancel… we would absolutely send back your contribution! See the Registry page to pay for your accommodations and food, and secure your spot on-site! It’s first come first serve, so pay early to get a spot on-site! Once the rooms at the venue fill up, we will defer you to the nearby hotel. If that fills up, and you need help with accommodations... let us know, and we'll discuss other options.
Yes, you do. Please check NOW and make sure it’s not expired. ;) If it expires within 6 months of your travel dates, you actually need to renew it in advance. And if ever you've considered enrolling in Global Entry, now is the time! This will make crossing back from Mexico to the USA much easier... and will also give you TSA pre-check for this trip, and all future travels...
100% - we would not lead you all astray! Our venue is completely gated and part of a quiet neighborhood with lots of tourists. If you don’t go looking for trouble, you won’t find it! If you’re not comfortable navigating Mexico on your own, we are here to take care of all of your transportation needs. The venue provides shuttles for pickup at the border, or right from San Diego airport as needed! Pickups at SAN airport are QUITE expensive though, so if that's what you need, please reach out to Allison before booking your flight so we can coordinate arrival times with others.
Help us pray for 75-80 degree, sunny weather! But know that it could be colder, and there's just a slight chance of rain this time of year. And be warned, the pacific ocean is not the most glamorous. It's usually quite chilly. And the beach where we are staying is rocky. At low tide, you can access the beach right by our place. But at high tide, it becomes unsafe. Getting onto the sand is primarily for the adventurous and nimble, only. Bring whatever outfits are comfortable, but make you feel CUTE! Check the weather a few days before you leave. Adventure gear for the adventure travelers. Beach/poolside gear for the relaxers. Something wine-tour worthy for the wine tours. Know there will be LOTS of pictures happening. But we don't have any expectations for attire.
