While we went to school together growing up, we didn't speak beyond a brief conversation about a video game as we were young and shy. After High School, we connected and went on our first date to the movies and dinner. We became smitten with each other instantly and went on a few more dates over the next month before making our relationship official in 2013.

We went on one of our snowboarding trips to White Pass Mountain. Just before we reached the resort, we stopped at an empty viewing area of Mt. Rainier. Alex brought his drone along "to get a video of Mt. Rainier" As we were posing for pictures, Alex dropped to one knee, popping the question. I said "Yes!" This ordinary snowboarding trip turned into an extraordinary moment that we will remember for a lifetime.
