We originally asked you to save the date of June 27, 2020 to celebrate our wedding and reception but because our guests' health is of the utmost importance so we are doing a small private ceremony with family only on that date. We have chosen a later date for the reception and are excited to invite you all to celebrate our happily ever after on October 31, 2020. Hope to see you there!
We first met at CNU in our freshman leadership class. I called Justin (behind his back) "that super cute blondie" and Justin can still remember my outfit from the first day. We were assigned to be in a semester-long group project together. Although I did all the work and Justin reaped all the benefits of my A, it was fun and we both went about the college careers blissfully unaware that we had both met our future life partners. It would be four more years until we would reconnect and start our love story!
Justin spent two months planning the proposal. He chose Beauville winery because it was our favorite place to go when I used to visit him in Blacksburg. The day of the proposal we drove back from Knoxville after Justin had spent his spring break hanging out with me. After a road tripping and listening to music and stopping for Dunkin coffee we arrived in Blacksburg unpacked and headed to Beauville for a nice relaxing afternoon. On the drive over Justin kept talking about vet school so I turned the radio up... now I know that was just nerves lol! When we got to the winery we got a glass and headed outside. Justin asked to go up to the pavilion to check out the view. I wanted to try my wine but I reluctantly agreed. We headed up and Justin got down on one knee. I cried he teared up and I agreed to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. After we called our families to share the news I was surprised by Ryan and Collin who planned an engagement dinner of Olive Garden and Oreos. The day was perfect!
