Flight

Travel Note
Antigua is one of the most exciting places to choose to stay, because the lodging options are many and wonderful! Whether you’re traveling solo and want a communal experience like a hostel, are looking for a boutique hotel experience, or you’re traveling with a group or kids, and want some space to your own at an airbnb. There are so many options available for all different kinds of budgets and needs! Hotels we Recommend in Antigua: Casa Santo Domingo is Antigua’s only 5 star hotel. It is a UNESCO world heritage site as it is built within colonial ruins and houses multiple museums within its ground. We LOVE the breakfast at Casa Santo Domingo, and recommend it for guests who want to have a luxe hotel experience. Please note that Casa Santo Domingo is built on catholic ruins and there is a lot of religious iconography through the hotel. Porta Hotel: during our last trip we fell in love with Porta Hotel! It’s a great option for anyone traveling with kids as there is an on-site playground, and a great pool for lounging. This hotel has beautiful views of the volcano from the restaurant and has a wonderful spa. Good Hotel: for the socially conscious traveler we recommend Good Hotel. It is a small boutique hotel that has several local enterprise and mutual aid organizations it partners with. Staying here is an investment in the local communities surrounding Antigua. It is also on the more modern end of hotels in Antigua. Airbnb: you can find a plethora of Airbnb’s in Antigua. We recommend this option for groups who might be traveling together, and as a budget option. You will find hostels, private houses, or apartments. We recommend making sure you look at the map to see that you’ll be staying within the city limits of Antigua, as there are some listings that are 10-15 minutes outside the city.
