There are several hotel options in Portland and the surrounding towns. AirBnB and VRBO are also good options. Please see the note on the Travel page for more details. PLEASE BOOK EARLY AS A LARGE EVENT IS HAPPENING IN TOWN THIS WEEKEND AS WELL.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Mary likes to dress for her concerts like she's going to a "hip wedding," so we extend the same suggestion to you! Whatever makes you feel snazzy, but comfortable. Since the ceremony is outdoors, don't forget a jacket or shawl in case it's a little chilly!

How do I get to the ceremony site at Fort Williams Park?

Answer

Fort Williams Park is located at 1000 Shore Road in Cape Elizabeth, ME, about a 15 minute drive south of Portland. Metered parking is available and is charged 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily. The rate is $2 per hour and there is a 2-hour minimum. If you don't mind walking a little further, the lot labeled E (Overflow) is FREE! A drop-off loop for Battery Hobart is the located at the second left after entering the park. The path to the Cliffside Plaza is also located here. It's about a 2 minute walk to the site from the drop-off loop. See map above for more details on parking and the ceremony location.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend guests gather at the Cliffside Plaza by 3:45 PM. Fort Williams is a beautiful park to explore, so feel free to come early and do some sightseeing and walking around. The Portland Head Light Lighthouse is iconic!
