How Did He Propose.

The Proposal that had the weirdest train of thought behind it.

We had been dating for quite some time, which honestly surprised me because I never thought we would make it this far. If you know me, you know I'm a little weird, brutally honest, and, as some would say, a bit of a savage. Usually, I'm the difficult one. But during that particular week, Marvens somehow managed to take that title from me. For days, he seemed impossible to deal with. He picked random arguments over the smallest things, and I was beyond frustrated. By the end of the week, I was completely fed up and just wanted answers. I wanted to understand what was happening between us and why he had been acting so differently. Then one rainy afternoon, while it was pouring outside, he called and asked me to pick him up. I almost said no. After the week he had put me through, the last thing I wanted was to drive through the rain. But eventually, I gave in and went. When I arrived at his house, I stayed in the car. I was still upset and determined to get some clarity. Marvens got in and started driving. I barely said a word. Instead, I sat there quietly, replaying the week's events in my head. What stood out to me most was how nervous he seemed. There we were, driving through a heavy rainstorm, with him visibly anxious and me feeling angry and confused. It felt like the perfect recipe for disaster. Eventually, we arrived at a familiar place. As soon as I looked around, I realized we were near the location of our very first date, a beautiful waterfront area surrounded by restaurants and breathtaking views. We quickly made our way under a covered spot overlooking the water to escape the rain. Standing there, I remember thinking, "There is absolutely no way he brought me all the way here just to break up with me in the middle of this rain." As my anxiety grew, I felt him gently take my hand. Then he said, "This is where it all started, so it's only right that I do this here." At that moment, my heart began racing. I was confused, nervous, and completely caught off guard. Before I could process what was happening, he got down on one knee and asked, "Angie Djemima Isabelle, would you make me the happiest man on earth and become my wife?" In an instant, all the frustration, confusion, and arguments from that week disappeared. I realized that he had been acting differently on purpose. He knew me well enough to know that I would have figured out his plan immediately if he had acted normally. All of it had simply been his way of throwing me off track. And just like that, he was no longer the man who had spent a week driving me crazy. He was the man I loved. The man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. So, with tears in my eyes and my heart completely full, I said yes.
