We recommend staying at The Henry, which is where we'll be hosting the sangeet and reception. However, if you're looking for an alternative or The Henry room block is full, consider a nearby hotel like the Courtyard Detroit Dearborn. Check out the "Travel" tab for more details.
We've listed recommended attire for each event in the "Schedule" tab. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us! We want everyone to have fun and not be stressed about what they should wear. A rough rule of thumb is to wear semi-formal or cocktail attire for the sangeet and reception which are the nighttime events and dressy casual for the wedding ceremony which will take place outside during the day. The reception is the most formal event.
If you live in NYC, there are a few Indian clothing stores on Lexington Ave (29th and 30th St). For online ordering, Lashkaraa and Kalki are great options: https://www.lashkaraa.com/ https://www.kalkifashion.com/
Traditionally, Indian weddings are not held on Saturdays for religious reasons. We know that traveling and attending a wedding during the work week can be tough, and we deeply appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to celebrate and share your blessings with us.
