FAQs

Question

What should I do between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

You’re in the best city in the world! Feel free to explore Casa Loma, grab a bite to eat or drink downtown, or check out one of Toronto’s many attractions. You’re also just a short walk from the subway if you’d like to head further into the city. Check out the "Things to Do" page for some of our favourites!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is Black Tie (Optional). Feel free to embrace the glamour - Casa Loma and Canoe make incredible backdrops for photos. For men, black tie traditionally means a tuxedo, but a dark suit with a tie is perfectly acceptable if you prefer. For women, black tie typically calls for a long gown, a formal cocktail dress, or an elegant pantsuit.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

As Canoe is an intimate venue, we can only accommodate named guests and no additional plus one's. Please refer to your invitation or search your name in the RSVP section of the website.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only celebration.

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

Casa Loma: Limited paid parking is available on-site, with additional lots in the area. Canoe: We’ve secured free parking for all guests attending the reception. Please note that both venues are within walking distance to public transit, and ride sharing apps (Uber, Lyft, Hopp) are plentiful in Toronto.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive by 12:45 PM so everyone can be seated before the ceremony begins at 1:00 PM.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

We’re not doing a traditional registry — if you’d like to gift us something, cash for our honeymoon will help keep us fed, sunburned, and slightly overserved.
