We matched on the dating app Hinge. Eric messaged Jess about her dog Ellie and after a few messages back and forth Eric asked Jess on a date. Jess was 30+ minutes late to our first date (whoops!). She just started a new position at work and her boss called her after hours to make travel arrangements for an upcoming conference. Jess communicated with Eric so he waited for her. They met at P.J. Whelihan's for drinks and nachos. After talking for 3+ hours Eric walked Jess back to her car and kissed her goodnight. This first date led to forever!

Eric recreated the first date we had on Long Beach Island, NJ. LBI is very special to Jess as this is where she grew up and where Eric met her family for first time. We went to Ship Bottom Shellfish for dinner and then stopped at the Porthole for a drink. After having a drink, Eric & Jess took a walk along the beach. Eric surprised Jess by getting on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said YES! They were then joined by their fur babies, family, and friends to celebrate!
