It was the Grand Opening of Cabela's in Lone Tree, CO and I decided to go with a friend. We were dedicated fans and waited in line for 16 hours! We were even one of the first 100 people in line. As we waited in line, we noticed three guys behind us and we decided to start a conversation with them since we were going to be there a long time. As the day became night, it started to get chilly and the three guys behind us did not come prepared, so I let them borrow a few extra jackets from my car. The following morning when the store finally opened, we went our separate ways and started shopping. As we were shopping, my friend and I kept an eye out for the friendly guys because we were interested in them, but we had no luck and we were exhausted, so we went home. Fast forward a month later, I put on one of the extra jackets I lent to the friendly guys at Cabela's and in the pocket I found a piece of paper with their names and numbers on it. I texted them and said, “You won’t believe this, but this is Kendra from Cabela's” and from that moment, I knew it was the start to the greatest love story!
Every Thanksgiving, Brandon's family hosts a big dinner and this past Thanksgiving, we were at his mom and step dad's house indulging in tons of delicious food and enjoying time with his family. After dinner, I started to help clean up, when Brandon nervously came up to me and told me he needed to show me something in the living room. As we entered the living room and I turned around he was down on one knee holding a beautiful ring and asked me to marry him in front of his whole family. I was so surprised and of course, I said YES!
