We are getting married

If there’s one thing our story has taught us, it’s that timing really is everything. Before we found each other, life had already shaped both of us in a lot of ways. We had been through hard seasons, learned difficult lessons, carried responsibilities, and experienced the kind of moments that change you. Looking back now, we truly believe God was preparing us for each other long before we ever met. Ironically, our story started because Alina could not stand the fact that someone at work kept beating her in sales… and that person was Sean. What started as a little competitive curiosity turned into Alina reaching out first. Sean, of course, took a couple days to answer (something Alina still lovingly makes fun of him for), but once that first conversation started, everything changed. From the very beginning, talking to each other felt easy. One conversation turned into hours of nonstop talking, laughing, teasing each other, and creating inside jokes almost immediately. And when we finally had our first phone call, neither of us wanted to hang up. We talked until the early morning and eventually decided it made more sense to just fall asleep together on the phone instead of saying goodnight. Somewhere in those conversations, we both realized this was becoming something very different from anything we had experienced before. As our relationship grew, so did our love for adventure together. We packed what felt like ten years of memories into ten months, traveling, exploring, taking spontaneous trips, chasing sunsets, laughing nonstop, and simply enjoying life together every chance we got. Even life’s difficult moments somehow brought us closer. After a motorcycle accident left us with matching scars, we were reminded just how precious life is and how grateful we were to have each other through every high and low. Through every challenge, we kept choosing one another. Sean knew very early on that Alina was the person he wanted to spend forever with. But instead of rushing the moment, he patiently planned the perfect proposal and somehow managed to completely surprise Alina, despite her detective-level investigation skills. At the Botanical Gardens in Asheville, Sean asked Alina to marry him, and it became one of the most emotional, beautiful, and unforgettable moments of our lives. Since then, we haven’t just built a relationship, we’ve built a home. A blended family full of love, chaos, healing, growth, loud moments, laughter, and so many memories. Whether we’re sitting quietly together on the porch, navigating life as parents, supporting each other through difficult seasons, or chasing dreams side by side, we’ve found peace in simply doing life together. Our story isn’t perfect, and that’s what makes it ours. It’s a story about perseverance, friendship, faith, healing, and two imperfect people finding peace in each other. We’ve learned that love isn’t only found in the big moments, it’s found in the everyday choosing of one another over and over again. Now, surrounded by the people we love most, we’re so grateful for every step that led us here and so excited for all the memories still waiting for us in this next chapter as husband and wife.
