Maid of Honor
Don't ask how many years its been...but I met Brittani in Kindergarten! I honestly don’t know how I got so lucky to have such a caring person in my life that I get to call my best friend. We make each other's IQ levels drop and possibly others around us as well. We literally laugh about nothing and everything until we cry. Or cry from watching PS I love you over and over again. Brittani has been by my side since I was 5 and I couldn't imagine not having her by my side on my wedding day!
Maid of Honor
I had my first honeymoon with Melissa...long story short, don't book a Caribbean Trip without researching the resort first! Melissa and I met each other working at good ole Don Pablo's. I'm pretty shy and Melissa would step up and yell all of my "birthday's" for me at work. Even if she didn’t want to, she still did it. Which sums her up as a friend, she’ll do anything for her friends and has never let me down. I can still count on Melissa to step up and be there for me when I need her the most. I couldn’t imagine doing this crazy thing called life without her!
Bridesmaid
I owe a lot to Red Star...not only did I meet MG but I also became besties with Annie! We shared countless nights working together and bonding over our passion to get out of the restaurant industry. Annie is the most genuine person that I know and always puts others first. She’s the person that will bring you soup when you’re sick or bake you cookies for your birthday. She is also Jameson's favorite aunt :) but ask her about his banana treats...
Bridesmaid
I didn't think there was someone out there like me on every level until I met Rachel. Rachel worked with my brother at Bertucci's and was obsessed with the fact that he had a sister name Rachel. I played a little hard to get but we eventually met at my brother's going away party and became forever friends. Did I mention that she is also marrying a Matt this year? Is it fate... or creepiness? Either way.. Rachel + Rachel = Love!
Best Man
I first met Will my freshman year of high school through mutual friends...and not much has changed since then (except maybe the "Redskins" team name). We still keep in touch with the same group of friends, root for the same frustrating DC sports teams, keep up with our fitness routines, and talk to each other on the phone almost every day like sixteen year-old girls. Two years ago, I had the honor of serving as Will's best man at his wedding (which was also on my birthday) and now he's returning the favor.
Groomsman
May 17th, 1993, was the day my long term rival entered this world. Like most brothers, Andrew and I have always had a competitive relationship. From baseball, to basketball, to ping pong... everything's a competition (I won't get into our respected records). Although we like to compete against each other, we've remained close and still have that brotherly bond. For once, he'll be on my side come the day of my wedding.
Groomsman
More like an older brother than a cousin, I've always looked up to Kevin. In all seriousness, he looks like he actually belongs in my immediate family. OBX trips, holiday gatherings, Redskins/Orioles games, and Sunday get-togethers...our families have always been close figuratively and geographically. We were consistent wiffle ball teammates/champions over my brother and oldest cousin, Mike...so him being a part of my groom's crew is only natural.
Groomsman
Another brother-like cousin, Mike, is the oldest cousin on my father's side. Being the oldest means being the most experienced; especially when it involves getting into trouble. He was the main instigator of the infamous water-balloon launcher scandal on our family OBX trip and more recently traveled to Lake Havasu to celebrate my 30th birthday (which felt like my 21st). Mike also sponsored me for my 8th grade Confirmation and led our family wiffle ball league in career home runs. He almost seems overqualified for my wedding party.
Ring Bearer
Jameson has known Rachel for almost 13 years and MG for about 3 years. He is super excited to take MG's last name and to finally have a dad to call his own. But he wasn't always excited about it...Jamo was slow to welcome MG into the family and may have bitten him a couple times (he would like everyone to know that MG was taunting him and it was not his fault). But after many Jumbones and treats, Jamo decided that MG wasn't that bad. Jamo may decide to sleep through the ceremony, but if he gets a second wind and decides to come, he will hopefully make it down the aisle with the rings without marking everything.
