Lynaya & Martin's story began in the digital landscape of early 2010 when they first connected as teenagers. Despite residing in different towns and attending separate schools, their bond blossomed through heartfelt conversations, evolving into a daily ritual that solidified their friendship. It took several months of anticipation before they mustered the courage to meet face-to-face. On August 19th, 2010 Lynaya was downtown Chicago for a dance convention with her brother and mother. Martin happened to be at his brother’s apartment in Chicago at the same time. They planned to meet up that day. Lynaya told a bit of a white lie to her mother, saying a boy she had met previously (she had not met him in-person previously) was going to come hang out with her and asked if it was okay. Her mother reluctantly said yes and Martin made taxi arrangements to meet Lynaya for the first time. Lynaya and Martin shared their first loving embrace in front of the Seneca hotel in Chicago. That same day, they decided to begin a true relationship. We’re not done yet. A year or so passed and things got a bit rocky for the young couple. They ended up calling it quits, not realizing the future ahead of them. Martin and Lynaya spent five years apart, learning and growing as separate individuals. This growth and release of fun, laughter, and heartbreak was a necessary step in becoming the individuals they are today. Fast forward to early 2015, when Lynaya impulsively reached out to Martin, reigniting their connection with a simple message. Despite Martin's relocation to Colorado for schooling and Lynaya pursuing cosmetology in Illinois, their rapport seamlessly resumed, reminiscent of picking up an unfinished book from five years prior. The culmination of their rekindled bond manifested on March 14th, 2015, as Martin returned home for a visit, greeted by Lynaya at the airport. The familiarity of their embrace hinted at the depth of their revived emotions, validating the profound impact of their recent conversations. That very day, they made the decision to embark on a renewed journey of love, embracing the uncertainty with open hearts. And now, nine years later, they stand together, having weathered the highs and lows of a shared existence, affirming their commitment to a lifetime of love and companionship.
