We met online. About 6 weeks later Bridgette (and her mom) drove from Alaska to Michigan preparing to move to Missouri for her next assignment. She drove through Omaha, which provided the opportunity for she and Martin to meet. They had dinner for their first date (with Bridgette' s mom)... and the rest is history!

A trip through Scotland and a road trip to anywhere with Marty and the girls What is her favorite childhood memory? Family vacations! Her favorite place is Manitoulin Island. When did she know she wanted to marry Marty? She realized after about 7 or 8 months when she'd spent time with him, his girls and extended family. She saw how much he loved his daughters and his family. This added to his kindness and patience, quirky sense of humor, hard work ethic, and his love for Jesus won her heart. When did she become a Christian? She was saved in high school. After spending years growing up in the church, she came to know Jesus and understand her need for Him in her life. She has had many ups and downs and struggles in her walk with God, but has known He is the foundation in her life.
We decided it would make the most sense for our family for Bridgette to go to Kunsan AB in South Korea for a year. She'll leave in June and return June 2020. This will allow Marty to stay in Omaha, close to the 3 girls, keep his job, and because she volunteered, Bridgette will be able to get a follow-on assignment to Offutt AFB in Omaha when she returns! It is bitter-sweet, but we see it as an adventure and an opportunity for many good things to come from this!
