Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We hope you understand and aren’t offended if we haven’t included children on your invitation.

Question

Additional guests/plus ones

Answer

We are really looking forward to celebrating with you. Because we are keeping our wedding to limited numbers, and have therefore had to make some careful decisions about numbers, we are only able to invite the family members and friends named on the invitation. We truly hope you understand and we would love to have you with us on our special day.

Question

Parking

Answer

Parking will be in the designated car park at Nettlestead Farm, which is part of Nettlestead Place. Please look out for the 'Wedding car park' sign as you approach the venue on the main road. This car park sign is underneath a sign saying 'Nettlestead Court Farm'. Cars can be left overnight in this car park (at own risk), but must be collected by 11am the following morning. There will be signage to guide you from the car park to the ceremony location within the grounds at Nettlestead Place. Please allow yourselves approximately 5-10 minutes to walk from the car park to the ceremony location/marquee (for evening guests), to enjoy the gardens and pretty scenery along the way. A gold star will be awarded to anyone who spots the invitation illustration in real life and uploads a selfie next to it!

Question

Dress Code

Answer

Our dress code is lounge suits for men, and wedding attire for ladies. We kindly ask ladies not to wear white or ivory. Hats and fascinators are optional (but always welcome!). Please note, much of our day’s celebrations will be held outside on lawned areas (weather permitting), therefore, we recommend avoiding wearing stiletto heeled shoes.

Question

Ceremony

Answer

We’ll gather for a short outdoor ceremony in the Rose Garden at 2:30 pm, followed by drinks on the nearby lawn. The wedding breakfast and the evening party will be held in the marquee. **Please note, if you arrive early for the ceremony, there are no catering facilities (i.e. no café or restaurant) at the venue. However, there are toilets available for guests’ use, near the marquee. If the weather isn't kind, the ceremony will be held in the 'Undercroft' in the main house, and post ceremony drinks will be held in the marquee. All locations will be signposted.

Question

Dining and Drinks

Answer

For those of you joining us at our wedding breakfast, please make your menu choices, indicating any dietary requirements or allergies you have by Friday 24th April, via the 'RSVP' tab. As mentioned previously, drinks and canapés will be served after the ceremony. Around 8:30 pm, we’ll have an evening buffet available for all guests. Drinks can be purchased at the bar – please note, it is a cashless bar so only card or phone payments are accepted. All buffet items will be clearly labelled for allergies.

Question

Photos & Social Media

Answer

We would love to see everyone's photos of our special day, so please do upload them via the QR code cards, which you will find dotted around in the Reception marquee on our special day. We will be more than happy if you would like to share photos of our special day on social media, at any point!

Question

England v Panama, World Cup Group Match

Answer

We know England will be playing Panama in their final group match at 10pm on Saturday 27th June, which is when our wedding celebration will be in full swing. Whilst we completely understand that many people are passionate about watching England, our wedding is very special to us and will be a football-free zone. This means that: • There will be no TVs or screens showing the match • We would kindly ask guests not to watch the game on mobile devices We really want everyone present there to be fully present with us, enjoying the celebrations together. If watching the game is a priority for you, we completely understand, but we’d kindly ask that you decline our invitation and enjoy the match wherever you prefer.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP for all guests named on your invitation, under the 'RSVP' tab of this website by Friday 24th April 2026, including your meal choices. We're really sorry but any RSVPs we get after this date will sadly not be able to be accommodated, as we have to confirm our final guest numbers and menu choices by this date with Nettlestead Place. You will also be asked for your menu choices when you RSVP - please select one dish for each course. Please advise us separately, via email at abby.grundon@hotmail.co.uk if you have any allergies or dietary requirements, and these will be accommodated for you.

Question

Taxis

Answer

We would recommend booking taxis in advance, if needed, for the end of the evening, as Nettlestead Place is in a fairly remote location, and mobile reception may not be optimal with all providers.
