Gateway Arch & Museum
If you haven't been to St. Louis and checked out the Arch, it's a must. Getting up close to this beauty reveals how truly impressive it is. If you are claustrophobic, we do not recommend you ride to the top as the carts are very small. There is a new museum at the base and it is now classified as a National Park (for those of you that want to scratch it off your list).
City Museum
One of St. Louis' most unique museums. Geared towards a younger, limber crowd, you can crawl through a school bus suspended in air, slide down a 10 story slide, and ride a ferris wheel all in the same building. Be sure to pack your tennis shoes and some comfy clothes if you plan to check it out!
Missouri Botanical Gardens
September is a lovely time in St. Louis, especially outdoors. If you love flowers and getting in a good walk with beautiful surroundings, make sure to checkout the Missouri Botanical Gardens. They often have outdoor events, so be sure to check their events calendar.
Saint Louis Art Museum
If you are looking for a relaxing and mind stimulating excursion, we highly suggest the St. Louis Art Museum. They feature all kinds of beautiful artwork within their walls, not to mention it is in Forest Park which is lovely in and of itself. It the weather isn't to your liking this is a great indoor option. Not to mention, it's free!
Saint Louis Zoo
If the weather is right, and you want to see some wild animals and visit Forest Park at the same time, check out the zoo. It's free!
Saint Louis Science Center
Another great indoor attraction is the St. Louis Science Center, located adjacent to Forest Park and also completely free to check out!
Missouri History Museum
Another one of St. Louis's free attractions is the History Museum, great for all those history buffs. Located on the north end of Forest Park.
4 Hands Brewing Co
Do you drink beer? Then you need to visit 4 Hands Brewing. Martin is the Director of Operations here, so if you haven't been yet, make it a priority. It's because of this brewery that Martin and I first met!
The Grove

Delmar Loop

Central West End
Another great entertainment district, this one is located on the east side of Forest Park near Barnes Jewish Hospital. Shopping, great restaurants (a few a little higher end), bars, coffee shops, a movie theatre, and a Whole Foods Market. Below is a list of some great spots for food and drink. Shaw Neighborhood
This quaint neighborhood as a few great spots to check out. It is also where our wedding venue is located and right by the Missouri Botanical Garden. Fiddlehead Fern - Cafe Sasha's on Shaw - Wine Bar Thurmans in Shaw
The Shaved Duck
One of our favorite restaurants in St. Louis that was once on Diners, Drive-ins & Dives! Be sure to try the "Smothered Fries" & the ribs! It does get busy so be ready for a wait as they do not take reservations! We like to pull up a seat at the bar and eat our meal there.
Brasserie by Niche
One of our favorite brunch spots. Enjoy a delicious cappuccino or brunch cocktail while snacking on their fabulous beignets. Everything on the menu is French and amazing.
Sauce on the Side
One of our favorite spots makes the greatest calzones we have ever had. Martin recommends the "Meet Me in St. Louie" and my favorite is the "Roasty Toasty." They also have some fabulous salads to try. We highly recommend!
Cafe Osage & Bowood Farms
Located in the Central West End, Cafe Osage has a GREAT brunch. It is located inside Bowood Farms, a cute plant nursery and gift shop. It is a great stop for food, coffee, cocktails and some shopping!
St. Louis Cardinals
The Cardinals play the Cincinnati Reds the weekend of our wedding. If you love baseball there are three chances to see them; Friday 8/30 @ 7:15PM; Saturday 8/31 @ 6:15PM & Sunday 9/1 at 1:15PM. Busch Stadium is located in the heart of Downtown St. Louis.
