We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before the 4:00 pm ceremony, but the chapel will be open around 3:30 pm.
The ceremony and reception will be indoor. The Chapel is not air conditioned, but the Pavilion where the reception will be held is air-conditioned. There are picnic tables outside the pavilion to enjoy if the evening cools off.
We prefer guests to be comfortable and would like everyone looking great! Dressier than business casual would be the best guide.
Short answer: YES We are all about our family and friends and fussy little ones don't bother us. Use your judgment, but we would rather have you stay with a fuss-budget than leave on our account. Kids meals (chicken strips) will be provided for the under 12 set. High chairs and booster seats are also available for those that need them.
If staying at the Americinn, we recommend walking to the venue the properties are adjacent and driving probably won't shorten your walk at all. If you are driving, there is a small parking lot near the Heritage Center Farmhouse (not OUR farmhouse) and additional parking at the strip mall across the street in a lot. On-street parking is also available.
We will provide coffee, water, soda, wine, beer and cocktails as well as some great bartender friends after the ceremony and at the reception. On Friday night, we will be at a bar, but drinks are on you (non-alcholic drinks provided though). On Sunday morning, there will be coffee, juice, water & a mimosa bar provided.
No transportation has been arranged. The hotel and venue are adjacent - less than a block from door to door. If you need transportation from the airport, please reach out to Marti or Bob and we can assist with arrangements.
Typically August is pretty warm days - in the 80s with cooler nights - mid-60s. Rain is definitely a possibility - feel free to pack an umbrella to get from place to place reasonably dry.
