Flying to Our Wedding

Most international guests will fly into Cape Town International Airport (CPT), which is the closest major airport to the venue—about 40 minutes away from Paarl. For guests traveling from Europe (Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany), there are several airlines that offer direct or one-stop flights to Cape Town from major hubs like Zurich, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, and Munich. For guests coming from Brazil (Recife or São Paulo), flights typically include a layover—most commonly in Johannesburg—before connecting to Cape Town. However, South African Airways offers direct flights from São Paulo to Cape Town on Tuesdays and Saturdays. We recommend booking your flights early, as January is peak travel season in South Africa.

Rental Car

Getting to Paarl

Paarl is located about 40 minutes from both Cape Town’s city center and Cape Town International Airport. Please note that you’ll need a car to get to the venue, as public transport in the area is very limited. Rental cars are widely available at the airport, and ride-hailing services like Uber or Bolt may be an option, though availability can vary.

Travel Note

Booking a Place To Stay

We highly recommend booking your accommodation as soon as possible. January is peak season in both Paarl and Cape Town, and places tend to fill up VERY quickly—often months in advance. If you're still unsure whether you'll be able to join us, we suggest booking a place with a free cancellation policy (many options on sites like Booking.com offer this). That way, you’ll have something secured just in case—and can always cancel later if needed. For accommodation recommendations, be sure to check out the Stay section :)
