FAQs

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We respectfully request no children at the reception, allowing all of our guests to enjoy an adults-only evening.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding dress code is formal. For women, this means a long evening gown, and for men, a suit and tie are appropriate. Putting a mystical LOTR twist is welcome ✨🧚‍♂️🪻

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, please feel free to take as many photos as you like throughout our wedding celebration! I have my friend Emilio taking photos, but I will be finding an app so everyone can upload our special day privately. Please refrain from posting us on social media thank you!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to the nature of our catering, we are unable to accommodate individual food allergies or dietary restrictions. We will however have a pretty wide variety of foods so please look forward to our menu!

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we will have an open bar for all of our guests to enjoy complimentary drinks throughout the event. If you would like to donate $20 it would help ease the bar payment :)

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, sassafras’s has a HUGE open lot specifically for our venue, parking should not be an issue. However, I will not be creating any type of transportation so please ensure you have a DD.

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

Our ceremony will move indoors to the Veranda :)

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Yes, you are welcome to bring a plus one! Please indicate their attendance when you RSVP so I can make sure they get dinner!!

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes, we have a wedding registry! You can find all the details on the Registry page of our website. PLEASE NOTE: those are all ideas of what I would like, not brands I specifically need (I do have a love for le cruset and caraway though). Pretty cups and plates in an off white, nice cutlery, a good kitchen knife, any type of handmade locally sourced thing is my favorite.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 4pm Please arrive 15 minutes before the ceremony to get settled.
