Their story begins in 2015 in Newark, Delaware. Eric and Manda met while working at the Apple Store in the Christiana Mall. After years of conversations and laughter within the store, they truly found out how similar they were one night while having a drink together. While showing Manda some of the songs that he had recorded of himself playing guitar and singing, Manda mentioned how she used to take singing lessons. As if this wasn’t enough to have Eric swooning, she then mentioned how she asked for a guitar one Christmas and started to teach herself how to play. Within a week, they were singing in the car together after a night at Duffers, playing guitar at Manda’s apartment, and truly becoming a bigger part of each others lives. One day, Manda had gotten super sick with food poisoning. While texting her asking why she wasn’t at work, Manda explained to Eric how awful she felt. Immediately, he insisted on bringing her medicine after his shift. He arrived at the front door of her apartment with medicine, soup and a smile. That night, they sat on her futon and watched the How To Train Your Dragon movies until Manda finally started to fall asleep. Soon after, they both realized that there was potentially more than just a friendship. After sweeping her off of her feet with a first date to The Melting Pot, the rest was history. While vacationing in Siesta Key on June 28, 2021, Eric got down on one knee and made sure that he wouldn’t live another day without Manda by his side.
For our honeymoon, we decided on Disney World! Two days after our wedding, we will be traveling to the most magical place on earth to celebrate our marriage! While on a family vacation there in September, we were in line for the Buzz Lightyear ride when Eric said to me, "What if we honeymooned here?". So the conversation sparked and ideas began to flow. Only a few weeks after returning home from our family vacation, we had a nice dinner at home. We had a quiet environment to be with each other in the moment and enjoying red wine in the Mickey and Minnie Mouse "Bride" and "Groom" etched glasses that we purchased in Disney. After a brief pause in conversation, Eric said to me, "Let's honeymoon in Disney." I cried tears of joy as he explained to me all the of the same reasons I was thinking of why we should go there. We want to have fun experiences together, not necessarily sit on a beach all day. We want excitement and adventure, to have variety in each day we spend together. We both haven't been to Blizzard Beach since we were kids, and now that we have the chance to do that again together we could not be more excited! Given that we will have just planned a wedding, we will be taking one day to relax and spoil ourselves at a spa with couples massages then relaxing by the pool at the hotel. We also want to take the opportunity to try new restaurants! We plan to visit spots like Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney's Yacht Club Resort, The Boathouse at Disney Springs, and Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridan. Eric has never experienced Cinderella's Royal Table, so when visiting the Magic Kingdom, we will be dining there for lunch! On December 1st, I officially booked our honeymoon through our travel agent. We could not be more excited to kick off our marriage in Disney World!
