Venue
Pitney Meadows Community Farm is 166-acre working farm in the Saratoga city limits. The property had been used for agriculture since it was purchased in 1862. In 2002, Saratoga voters agreed to preserve the site in perpetuity for farming and education. Fulfilling this vision is the current-day mission of Pitney Meadows, which now functions as a non-profit established in 2016.
Pitney Meadows provides educational activities, recreational trails, farm-to-school & food security programs, a CSA, and farmstand. Perhaps most notably, the farm's community gardens are where Martel spent many hours in her own garden plot and volunteering. Upon Kyle's move to Saratoga, he worked as a farmhand in the Pitney fields, before starting his own venture of Tao Farms NY.
