We will be providing cars and drivers for the three days of the event, which will need to be coordinated with the arrival schedules of other guests coming from abroad. If you plan to stay longer, please reach out to Marta or Márcio for assistance with car rentals and chauffeur services.

For your stay in Luanda, we recommend the following hotels: - HCTA and Palmeiras– These are the closest options to Marta’s house, where the party will take place. If you prefer to stay nearby, these are the best choices. - InterContinental and EPIC SANA – These hotels are located in the city center, about 30 minutes from the party venue. Feel free to choose the option that best suits your preferences. Let us know if you need any assistance with bookings!

Safety

If you need any assistance with transportation while in Angola, please feel free to contact Marta or Márcio. - While it is not necessarily unsafe to walk around public areas without a local, we strongly advise against it. We will be available to accompany you on city visits or arrange for someone to ensure your safety. - we recommend that you do not leave your hotel alone unless you have someone waiting for you. The exception is if you are at a shopping mall, attending an event, or accompanied by a local.

Note on Currency and Payment Methods in Angola

The official currency of Angola is the Kwanza (AOA). While the country has made significant strides in modernizing its financial systems, it's important to note that many places in Angola still do not accept international credit cards, such as Visa or Mastercard. Therefore, we strongly advise visitors to bring cash in Euros (EUR) or US Dollars (USD), which can easily be exchanged for Kwanza at exchange offices or banks. Having cash on hand will ensure that you can comfortably pay for most services, such as dining, and shopping. Currency exchange is widely available in major cities, especially in Luanda. It's always a good idea to carry both local currency and some international currency, especially when traveling outside of major urban areas. For those who have a Revolut card, you will be able to withdraw money directly from our cash machines. However, please note that the daily withdrawal limit is relatively low. This service may also work with other Visa cards, but again, the limits may apply.
