Can I bring a plus one or kids?

We’re so excited to celebrate with you! To keep things cozy and comfortable due to the size of our venue, we kindly ask that you bring only the guests listed on your invitation. Thanks so much for understanding — we can’t wait to see you there!

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
Answer
Please arrive by 5:45 PM. The ceremony will begin shortly after, just as the sun starts to set. We’d love for everyone to be settled and ready to soak in the moment with us.

What’s the dress code for the wedding?
Answer
Beachy and breezy! Sundresses, linen sets, khakis, and short-sleeve button-ups are perfect. The ceremony will be on sand, so we suggest skipping the heels and going for comfy shoes or sandals. It might get breezy at night, so bring a light layer just in case.

Will the ceremony and reception be outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony will be outdoors on the sand and the reception will be both outdoors and indoors— weather permitting!

Where should I stay?
Answer
We have hotel blocks at two spots listed under the “Travel” section on our website — definitely check those out! There are also plenty of great Airbnb and Vrbo options in the area, plus lots of smaller hotels and motels along the coast. It’s the end of busy season, so we recommend booking sooner rather than later to lock in the best spots!

What’s the best way to get around the area?
Answer
Heads up- Ubers and Lyfts aren't really a thing in the area, so don't count on them. We recommend renting a car to get around easily. We will be sharing information under the “Travel” section on our website with information for local shuttles, trolleys, and cab companies soon, so check back shortly for the latest info!

Oak Island and nearby Southport are charming coastal towns in North Carolina, known for their laid-back vibes, beautiful beaches, and scenic views. We’ll be adding more info soon under the “Travel” section of our website on local spots to check out, explore and enjoy during your stay!

Early September in Oak Island is typically warm and sunny with daytime highs in the low 80’s and evening lows in the high 60’s.

Can I take pictures at the wedding?
Answer
We’re having an unplugged ceremony, so we kindly ask that all phones and cameras stay tucked away during that time. We want everyone to be fully present with us in the moment- and our photographer will be capturing all the magic! Once the ceremony ends, feel free to snap away during the reception- we’d love to see your photos and memories from the celebration.
