The couple met during July 4th weekend in Martha's Vineyard. Jordan was vacationing from California and Marshay was visiting from New York for a best friend's birthday. After meeting each other at a party, Marshay and Jordan got to know each other a bit more at an afterparty where they danced for hours to a ton of Drake songs. Although Marshay and Jordan lived in separate parts of the country, they decided to stay in touch after that one night of dancing. After many months of texting and video chatting, they solidified their relationship when Marshay flew unannounced to California for Jordan's 27th birthday to surprise him. Four years later, Jordan popped the question while they were vacationing in Portugal.
