The dress code is “Formal Garden Party” — Think light colors, pops of floral prints, and airy materials. This is a chance for you to dress up and have a little fun too, so go for it! Men, we suggest light colored suits or dinner jacket with slacks - but please NO JEANS. Women, we suggest a mid-length or full-length dress. Our only request is that you please REFRAIN FROM WEARING WHITE OR BLUE.
Please arrive no later than 4:45 pm. Our ceremony space is intimate and everyone will notice if you walk in late, so please don’t be that guy.
As our ceremony venue is intimate, we have limited space for additional guests. All who are formally invited and any plus-ones will be addressed on your invitation.
Though we love kids, we cannot accommodate them at our venue. Please enjoy a night off celebrating with us!
We did not reserve a hotel block, but we can recommend a few local hotels that are near by the transportation shuttle pickup location at the Omni Hotel. - The Omni Charlottesville Hotel - The Residence Inn, Charlottesville Downtown - Home2Suites, Charlottesville Downtown - The Hampton Inn & Suites, Charlottesville at the University
Yes! Our venue is about a 25 minute drive from Downtown Charlottesville, so we have provided a shuttle bus to transport our guests to and from the venue. Pickup will start at the Omni Hotel at 4pm, and will depart promptly at 4:15pm. There will be two return trips from the venue to the Omni Hotel at 9:30pm and 11:00pm. You are welcome to drive yourself, but the drive is through winding back roads up a mountain. We want all of our guest to be safe, so please no drinking and driving!
Yes! For those guests who choose to drive separately there is plenty of parking on site. For the ceremony, please park in the grassy area by the chapel. The small parking lot is reserved for the wedding party. For the reception, there is a large parking lot behind the Grand Hall.
We have chosen our venue simply for its beautiful chapel and amazing views. This day is a celebration of our love and marriage, and we kindly request that all guests be respectful of this happy occasion by refraining from any political discussion.
