Marshall arrived on campus in 2013, one year before a woman who had absolutely no idea, she was about to change his life forever. Jerrica arrived in 2014 — spontaneous, full of energy, and already planning her next move (which, by the way, probably changed three times before she even made it). As a Resident Advisor, Marshall took his job seriously. That meant keeping non-residents out of the building. That meant keeping her out. Jerrica, being Jerrica, had a different plan — though knowing her, that plan was made up on the spot and revised at least twice on the way to the door. 😂 He kept sending her away. She kept showing up. And somewhere between the policy and the persistence, something neither of them planned began to grow.

They both crossed the stage in 2018 — Marshall finishing his five-year journey, Jerrica completing hers in four. With no more dorm rules to enforce or doors to guard, something beautiful took root: a genuine, deep friendship. They laughed together, learned each other, and built something real — long before they ever called it love.
