Welcome to your Keys getaway! We’re beyond excited to celebrate with you and hope you can make a relaxing weekend of it. Here’s everything you need on travel, where to stay, and a few favorite things to do while you’re in the Keys. All of the wedding festivities will take place at Cheeca Lodge on Islamorada, in the heart of the Florida Keys. It’s about halfway between Miami and Key West. We'd highly recommend driving in from Miami to appreciate the oceanfront scenery. For accommodations, book a room at Cheeca Lodge or stay on Islamorada so you’re close to all the festivities. Cheeca is our home base for all wedding activities. They offer great amenities and have a relaxed Keys vibe.
Flight
For Guests Coming from Out of State
If you're planning on flying into Florida, the closest airports are Miami International (MIA) or Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL). The Miami airport is slightly closer with a 1.5 hour drive to Cheeca Lodge. Fort Lauderdale is also a good option and is about 2 hours to Cheeca Lodge.
Travel Note
Driving to Cheeca Lodge
The drive down the Overseas Highway is breathtaking, with bridge after bridge and islands unfolding all the way to Cheeca Lodge. For stretches, it’s just you, the sky, and turquoise water on both sides. If you'd prefer not to drive, check out shuttle options from the airport to Islamorada. One good service is Keys Shuttle (https://www.keysshuttle.com/). Ubers, Lyfts, and Taxis are also an option. Check out our activities page for our favorite stops along the way.

Cheeca Lodge is the perfect home base for the weekend, and we’d love for you to stay there with us.
