Santa Rosa was the home to Charles Schulz - the creator of Charlie Brown. Great for kids and adults!
Russian River Brewing Company
Santa Rosa is known for its beers and one of our favorites is Russian River Brewing. They have a location in downtown Santa Rosa and a new location in Windsor with a beautiful patio. Highly recommend! Fun fact- We almost missed our flight because we lost track of time at the Windsor location (oops)!
Russian River
Downtown Santa Rosa is just minutes away from the majestic beauty of the Russian River. One of our favorite places to visit. Along the river you will find restaurants, small towns and hiking.
Guerneville
Guernville is a cute small town in the middle of the forest along the Russian River. Beautiful little town to walk around or get breakfast!
Bodega Bay
Want to take a drive to the ocean? How about Bodega Bay. This cute coastal town has incredible views of the Pacific Ocean. We would suggest staying for lunch as they have great seafood. Highly recommend! Fun fact the, the Alfred Hichock's movie "The Birds" was filmed in Bodega Bay and you can stop and take pictures at some of the locations.
Sonoma County
Northern California is known for it's exquisite wine- so we could not recommend Sonoma County wines more. With hundreds to choose from you can't go wrong, however some of our favorites are Stags Leap, Ridge and Silver Oak. Cheers!
Healdsburg
One of our favorite towns in Northern California is Healdsburg. It is a charming small town with beautiful restaurants, wine tasting rooms and shopping. Perfect setting for a leisurely breakfast and stroll.
Redwood National and State Parks
We highly recommend a drive to the Redwood National Park to walk the trails under the majestic redwood trees. Parking is limited and $10, but there is street parking available as well. Well worth the 30 minute drive from downtown Santa Rosa.
