Hillary Anne Marsh
Bride
Hillary was born in Lebanon, NH on October 27, 1988. She grew up in Orford, NH with her younger sister, pup Tanker, kitty Zoe, and parents, Mark and Esther. She graduated from Keene State College in 2010 and moved to Connecticut in 2011. She’s very close with her family, enjoys line dancing, reading, coloring, massages, country music, camping, hanging with friends and their kids, and going to the races.
Michael James Barone
Groom
Michael was born in Holyoke, MA on July 17, 1987. He grew up in Chicopee, MA with his older brother, younger sister, pups, and his mom, Eileen. He graduated from Westfield State College in 2009 and the Plymouth Police Academy in 2012. He has moved around Massachusetts over the years but currently resides in Granby, MA. Michael is very close with his family, enjoys working on and tinkering with pretty much anything, watching the Yankees, camping, hanging with friends, and going to the races.
Esther Dobbins-Marsh
Mother of the Bride
Esther lives in Orford, NH where she raised her daughters. She enjoys her quiet and alone time, reading, watching sports, and traveling to see her daughters and “grand babies” (the girls’ cats). Hillary and Meagan are very close to Esther. They are all best friends and the girls wouldn’t know where they’d be or who they’d be without “Mama Marsh”.
Eileen Barone
Mother of the Groom
Eileen lives in Chicopee, MA where she raised her three kids. She enjoys going to and supporting the Catholic church, hosting family dinners for her children and grandchildren, watching the Yankees, and visiting family. The “kids” and Eileen are very close and the family dinners and random get togethers throughout the year are treasured.
Meagan Marsh
Maid of Honor
~Younger sister of the Bride Although Hillary and Meagan, aka Mugz, didn’t always get along growing up, they now have a bond and friendship so strong. They had many fun experiences growing up in NH with land and nature at their fingertips. From riding four wheelers, going to the fairlee diner and the drive-ins, to stalling out trying to learn how to drive stick shift, but they got through it all together. And they’re still getting through life together. Hillary would be lost without her. Meagan went to UMass Amherst for her undergraduate degree and moved to Chicago after graduation. She later got her masters out there and decided to stay. She adopted a kitty, Leo and is constantly working on DIY projects in her condo. Hillary hopes someday, she’ll move back to the East coast. Hillary is honored to have her best friend and baby sister standing next to her on this very special day.
Brian Szczur
Best Man
~Friend of the Groom “Szczur”, one of Mike’s friends who have managed to stay a part of each other’s lives for 30 years! Mike and Szczur started kindergarten with Billy and Britten all those years ago at St. Patrick’s. One constant bond between Szczur and Mike has been their love of racing. This connection is particularly fitting considering Mike and Hillary met at a race track and have season passes to the race track. Soon after meeting Hillary, a little shook, Mike talked to Szczur who has been one of his most steady of friends throughout the years. He told Szczur that he believed he had met the girl he was supposed to marry. With a reassuring confidence, Szczur reminded Mike that when he had said the same about Stephanie, Mike responded with “see me in a year”, but then confidently affirmed that “when you know, you know”. Szczur even saved that conversation and sent the screenshot to Mike and Hillary upon hearing the news of their engagement. Along with Steph, and their three kids, Stanley, Henry, and Julia, Mike and Hillary have already shared many memories with Szczur and his family and look forward to many many more. With Mike having been honored to be the best man at Szczur and Steph’s wedding, he has asked Szczur to return the favor. Who would of imagined, those two kids who would take off on long and aimless after school bicycle rides, would be able to say 20+ years later, that they also had the chance to be each other’s best men?

~Friend of the Bride Hillary and Michelle met by swiping right on the dating App, Bumble. Yes, there is a Bumble BFF option to meet friends. They both were looking for new friends and quickly developed a friendship after their first “date” at Joey Garlics. They continue to bond over mud masks, spa days, and fall activities. Hillary is now “Auntie HAM” to their daughter Bonnie and soon to be to Bonnie’s two siblings. Hillary is honored and grateful to have Michelle by her side through this exciting and special time.
Billy Dupre

~Friend of the Groom Where to begin with Billy? Mike has been blessed with some incredible friends in his life and Billy is another person on that list. Another friend who is more of a brother than a friend. Mike and Billy started kindergarten together and ended up classmates and friends all the way through high school and beyond. Their shared love of baseball allowed them to be teammates when they were young and high school coaches together in adulthood. Mike has been amazed to watch their friendship develop into adulthood and to have been welcomed into being a part of Billy and Erica’s family. Gone are the days of playing the Olympics on Sega and going to the park to throw but there was never a second of doubt that Billy would be standing with Mike as he and Hillary get hitched.
Debbie Picard

~Friend of the Bride Debbie and Hillary have different memories/ stories of how they met. Hillary’s version is that she went over to Debbie’s table while line dancing at The Cadillac Ranch to compliment another lady on her hair cut. They started chatting and Debbie offered Hillary a seat at the table. That was it. Debbie was stuck with Hillary. Debbie’s side can be told another time ;) Poor Debbie had to listen to Hillary’s anxiety of feeing like she was never going to meet someone. But Debbie knew it would happen someday. Even still, Hillary knew if it happened, Debbie would be by her side. Debbie is one of the kindest people Hillary knows, grateful for their friendship, and honored to have her along this journey of life.
Ryan Britten

~Friend of the Groom “Britten” is one of Mike’s lifelong friends. Their families have known each other for longer then Mike and Britten have been alive. From the early days of kindergarten at St. Patrick’s School it was inevitable that Britten would be standing up beside Mike, Billy, and Szczur on Mike’s wedding day. The memories shared between these two are literally countless and Mike is so grateful for their friendship throughout the years and through the highs and lows of life. Things have changed since they were playing F1 Racing on PlayStation, street hockey in Brian and Deb’s driveway, or floor hockey in Eileen’s basement, but when Mike and Ryan are together it can often bring them right back to those days of fierce competition and fun. Mike has always appreciated how Britten was more of a brother then a friend and for having the opportunity to be viewed in the same light by the Britten family.
Wendy Bartoszewicz

~Friend of the Bride Wendy and Hillary met at The Cadillac Ranch. Wendy was trying to learn a dance and got nervous and almost gave up (she was watching a show off doing fancy moves which aren’t necessary, no name will be mentioned, but we know who) but Hillary said, “watch me and not him”. Wendy learned the dance and now dances circles around Hillary! Some would say they are the “scariest” pair when together. Neither of them smile a lot and both can be intimidating! They don’t have poker faces!! Some even think they’re sisters! Regardless of the rough exterior, Wendy is fun, kind and she can dance! Wendy is a hard worker and an amazing mom raising her absolute hilarious and sweet daughter, Maelyn. Hillary has been lucky to find someone similar to herself and have a friendship like hers and Wendy’s. And hopefully neither will have to be told to smile during wedding activities. ;) Just kidding.

~Friend of the Groom “Soverino” has been one of Mike’s co-workers for ten+ years at APD. The closest you can come to having a “partner” at their department as they have pretty much been on the same shift and the same line for the entire time they have worked together. Beyond their time spent together at work they treasure their bond as neighbors and just can’t seem to get enough of each other. Whether they are riding motorcycles together, or completing the next ridiculous purchase or project, their time is usually full of laughs and good stories made.
Raquel Mikkola

~Friends with the Bride & Groom Hillary and Raquel met through “Barone” in the Winter of 2020. Although Raquel has known Mike for years because of his friendship with her husband, her and Hillary clicked pretty much instantly and have gotten closer over the last couple of years. Raquel and John had their doubts with “the new girl Barone met” but after meeting her and spending some nights together, Hillary won them over. Hillary finds Raquel’s laugh contagious and they both connect on how ridiculous John and Mike can be. Oh, and how loud they snore!! Raquel, John, Hillary, and Mike spend time together camping and hanging out with their kids, Finn and Autumn, and her parents, Keith and Cindra aka “Cissy”. Hillary can be herself around the Mikkola’s and they’re becoming more like family. Hillary is grateful for Raquel’s friendship and for being a part of their day.

~Friend of the Groom “Mikkola” and Mike started dating when they were both employed as police cadets at UMASS. After one night being assigned as partners, in a dorm lobby, they realized that they had been just one year apart at the same high school. Though that time at Holyoke Catholic meant nothing for their relationship… they’ve been inseparable since. Things have changed greatly since their many nights at the Blue Room and riding around aimlessly in the red rocket, or the G6, but still they often enjoy each other’s time. These days there are camping trips, time spent with Mikkola’s children and family, and their cherished concert dates. Mike is honored to have John in his wedding party and looks forward to many more nights of sharing cold beers, warm fires, country music, and Mikkola’s constant complaining.
Molly DeFrancesco

~Younger sister of the Groom Molly is the baby of the Barone’s. She kept… still keeps her brothers on their toes! She moved to CT for college, later met Vin and decided to stay. Molly had many successful internships and jobs working in the marketing industry. After soaring up through management at her last company, her and Vin decided to start having kids and Molly decided her new career was going to be a stay at home mom. Molly has embraced Hillary from the first time meeting her and now is excited to have a sister. Hillary is honored to have Molly by her side on the big day and also in life. Now Hillary has two baby sisters (and Meagan and Molly are the same age!).

~Brother-in-law of the Groom Vin is Mike’s favorite brother-in-law. He is honored to have him stand up for him on the big day just as Mike was able to do for Vin and Molly. From the early days of Molly and Vin dating he knew that Vin was going to be a special part of the family. They have shared many fun and entertaining moments throughout the years but right now, as Vin and Molly continue to raise Leona and Baby Vincent, he couldn’t appreciate Vin’s role in their family any more and looks forward to celebrating the big day with Vin and his family!

Flower Girl
~Niece and Goddaughter of the Groom Leona is the first grandchild on the Barone side of her family. She is an energetic, kind, and an entertaining little girl. She is going to be a great flower girl.

Ring Bearer
~Nephew of the Groom Vincent is the first grandson on either side of his family. He is a growing boy and will be taller than his dad in no time. He is full of smiles and likes to watch his sister rule the roost.
Matthew Barone

~Older brother of the Groom Matt is the older brother of both the groom and bridesmaid “Sister Molly”. Mike and Hillary are honored to be able to have Fr. Matt provide the marriage ceremony on the big day. Being the oldest of the three Barone siblings was not always easy as he is a bit more laid back than his younger brother and sister. He has been a huge part of Mike’s journey into adulthood and his engagement to Hillary. Without his being around, whenever needed, for whatever task or project Mike gets them into, they certainly wouldn’t be where they are today. Hillary and Mike look forward to Matt’s guidance and blessing as he presides over such a huge milestone in their lives.
