Our reception venue has been kind enough to bump us up to a larger room, so that we can stay below 25% capacity and still continue as planned. However, due to restrictions at the ceremony venue, we are unable to invite everyone to the ceremony. We wish we could have everyone there to witness our vows, but we know that the safety and health of our guests is important! If you feel uncomfortable coming to our celebration, we completely understand! Please make sure you provide your email address when you RSVP so we can let you know if things change. We love you all so much. Stay safe. Love, Mars and Kyle
On our wedding website, you’ll find hotel block details, a schedule for the wedding day, and answers to questions you may have about the wedding. You can also find some background information on our relationship journey so far, as well as the wonderful humans who will be helping us on our big day. We are SO incredibly excited to share this special day with our favorite people – a big thanks for all of your love and support.
Marissa and Kyle met in the fall of 2015 at their alma mater, Westminster College. They started off as close friends, until one night when Marissa was helping Kyle study for a Spanish test and he asked her on a date using one of his flashcards. Marissa took French, so she had no idea what was going on. There was a lot of laughter, and they've been laughing together ever since.
The first time Kyle proposed, it was in the kitchen of Marissa's family home on Memorial Day Weekend, 2019. He knew Marissa would be incredibly nervous (and he was right), so he proposed once in front of just her and her family to get the nerves out. He didn't tell Marissa when he would be proposing again, but she had a hunch. Kyle officially proposed to Marissa with the ring at the top of Pike's Peak in Colorado Springs, Colorado on May 31st, 2019. Afterwards, they shared some high-elevation donuts and coffee to celebrate.
