Bride
Fun facts about Sam: 1. Her emotional support animal, Lola, travels everywhere with her. 2. A normal human's pH is somewhere in the range of ~ 7.2 - 7.3. Sam's internal pH is like a 12 or 13 (cause she basic). 3. She thought Ryan was not intellectually challenging at first, mainly cause he didn't talk much. Now she wishes he would STFU. 4. She has a gross toe. 5. She makes a tasty Samgria. 6. She's a big creep.
Groom
Hmmm where to start about the groom? -He keeps changing his photo on this site. -He too is a creep. -You know when he’s home because there is a new string of possessions from the front door to the fridge. -I had to teach him how to make a fist. -He is the least chatty person in a new group, but then it’s hard to get him to shut up. -He puts others before himself. -He used to step outside to fart, those were the days! -He is the biggest weirdo and i am so beyond in love with him. -He loves Lola almost as much as i do. -He embraces my shenanigans. -He makes sure I’ve had my lactaid before ice cream dates. The list is endless!
Matron of Honor
Where to start?! Sarah has been my bfffl since 4th grade. Not just besties, the best! Parents live on the same street, got into trouble, survived our VERY awkward years, went away to college, and both ended up in Fort Worth. Basically, if it wasn’t for her, I would have never met Ryan!

Semester is finally over & I have time to update this goofy site. First pass through, I left my niece off entirely, pics of some people, & the descriptions dwindled the further down the page you went. All remedied now. While I've respected plenty of people in my life, Greg is the first person I've ever looked up to, an older brother I never had - relentless with jokes at my expense, but supportive & encouraging as well. Classic case of not judging a book by its cover. Looks like a giant dumb ogre, but is actually one of the most intelligent people I know. Met in fire academy, became workout partners, and have done a whole bunch of other neat stuff since (SCUBA cert, traveled to Africa, etc). Still not sure if he knows my first name or not though. Oh well. You win some, you lose some.
Bridesmaid
Met in nursing school and has been a shit show since! After numerous CTJ’s and trying to learn to dougie, we are trying to figure this adulting thing out. She is much better at it than I am and she helps me with big life choices. Couldn’t imagine my big day without her by my side.
Groomslady (BFF Swolemate)
I consider this one a sister to me. If after weeks of international travel you still want to be around a person, you know they're a good egg. From unwanted henna assaults to devil bars to cave excursions and the gym - man, all the hours at the gym 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 - Carla has been a constant, positive presence in my life. She's listened (and advised) on countless girl problems, lifted me up when I needed it, and tag teamed the rest of the time with her husband Greg keeping me laughing and in check with the sick burns. Just one of those people that makes you feel extraordinarily lucky to know.
Bridesmaid
Friends since tots. You know the whole we met because our parents were friends story? Well that was us! We always came back to each other. She has always been one of my biggest supporters and is one of the most intelligent people I have ever known. She also knows how to rage. Couldn't imagine my big day without my sister from another mister. Shidders rule!
Groomsman (The funny one)
Man, I love this guy and his whole freaking family. We met in first grade and became fast friends through our obsession with all things Nintendo (though I still respectfully disagree with you on Ocarina of Time, bro). Tied for my funniest friend award, you never know what the hell he's going to say, but whenever we hang out my face always hurts from laughing my ass off. His humor ranges from intelligent to bizarre and everywhere in between. Comic gold though. Comic gold. The other mention here is how good of a heart he's got. Rui wa rui o yobu, is how the saying goes in Japanese. The good call the good. Andrew is one of those good people. Lucky me for getting to have known the dude for the better part of THIRTY YEARS.

I met Allison in kindergarten. That’s right, kindergarten! Hung out when we were little, but then my parents made us leave SBA and go to public school. Then, I found my way back to SBA and rekindled my love for Cooley! Roommates in college at Loyola. Constantly inserting myself in her life ever since. She can’t get rid of me now ;)
Groomslady (The Wise One)
The thing I'm noticing in my hackneyed attempts to breathe life into these descriptions is that even trying to write about these people makes my face light up. You got a good thing going when that's the case. Keira & I became friends freshman year of HS with some late nights at Ol' South Pancake House, and for the past decade the Quarles house is where I go when I need to chill & recharge. I sleep on their couch and they treat me like family. It's laid back and relaxing and full of donuts, home cooking, projects, & playtime with my "nieces." In addition to being an example of a good parent, she's been one of my main go-tos for advice or consolation, and while understanding & kind, will cut through the BS & allow me to see a different, invaluable perspective that I might have missed.
Bridesmaid
We met one sunny afternoon in New Orleans when Allison introduced us. Some very forward questions later and we were roommates for the next three years. During those years, she introduced me to numerous things, such as bloody mary's at 6 am during Mardi Gras, Reba McIntyre over steamed broccoli, and an introduction to the Texas way of life. She has also become my sounding board for the hard stuff over the years, for which I am beyond grateful.
Groomsman (The Cool One)
Despite his belief, (or maybe because of it), that everyone else is a robot, John and I have been friends for a looooong time. In fact, he is my oldest friend. We met in kindergarten & went to the same school all the way through college, when i was his roommate freshman year. John's a smart doctor now, leaving this ol' boy in the dust in terms of edumacation. We spent countless summer hours at his house as kids playing videogames, Ninja Turtles, & drawing. John's way better than me at all of those things. Plus he's a musician. Plus he's artistic. He's always been way cooler than me. Ruminating on it now, I'm grateful I surrounded myself with people who were far better than me at everything because it imparted a drive in me that wouldn't be there otherwise. Klashas.
Bridesmaid
Shannon has been there for me since January 24, 1985! (she is my cousin and a year older than me!) It was us against the world growing up with our brothers, who could do no wrong of course. She is the closest thing I have ever had to a sister and I could not imagine getting hitched without her by my side. Plus, if anyone irritates me, she will take care of it.
Groomsman (Number 2)
First little bro. Been jealous of this one most of my life. He was social and athletic in ways I wasn't. Headstrong and stubborn and did his own thing. It took me a little longer to get there. We shared a room for most of our lives growing up and I was a giant prick to him when we were teenagers, but as adults we've become good friends. While he hasn't succeeded in instilling a love of metal music in me to date, I now at least have an appreciation. Sometimes I'll get emails from him in the middle of the night telling me to check out some lyrics to a song or asking me an opinion on something he's written. His depth of reading surpasses even mine. Carey is a dad to four now, & though they keep him busy these days, he's great at it, & if I'm 1/4 as good I'll still be successful.
Bridesman
Older brother of the bride. One of the coolest guys I know. He has been protecting me from bad things since that time I got stuck in the snow when I was 2.
Groomslady (The Movie Oracle)
Caitlin and I are probably the closest of the sibs, even though she said screw you to the family and moved 12 hours away to beautiful Chattanooga. (No, I'm not bitter). We talk weekly & commiserate about our sad, sad excuse for lives that consists of nothing but work & school. To say that she knows exactly how I'm feeling is an understatement. She doesn't beat around the bush & reigns me in when needed. Being raised with three brothers probably has something to do with her strong personality, & also why I like girls with strong personalities. It's what I'm used to. The thing I admire most about her is that when she says she's going to do something, she does it. Whether that's moving cross country or going back to school for a different career, follow-through like hers is a rare trait.
Bridesman
Baby brother of the bride. Human embodiment of shenanigans. Need him there to encourage my bad ideas.
Groomsman (Left Nip)
My least well-known person up here with me, probably because of the 7 year age gap, though the older we've gotten the better we've gotten to know one another. Miles is athletic and charming, funny and good-looking. And if you don't believe me, don't worry, he'll tell you. He also has the knack for picking girlfriends that the whole family likes, which in our family is no small feat, believe you me. Miles was living with me when Sam moved in next door, and he played a partial role in encouraging the meeting, and now Sam rags on him like a little brother too. The trait of Miles that I most admire is his reliability. If you ask him to do something, you can pretty much count on him doing it. Watching him come into his own as an adult has been great, and I'm proud to have him for a brother.
Flower Girl
My favorite niece, sorry Sloane. My little kooky unicorn agreed to be a flower girl only after sufficient bribing with hatchimals and promises of candy after completing the task. I get it.
Flower Girl
This is not my niece's first rodeo. She killed it as a flower girl in my sister's wedding last year. B.S. (before school) I got to see her more often. It's always startling when you go a couple months not seeing a kid because they are so different than the last time you saw them. I got to hang out with her for 30 minutes last weekend and the first thing she asked me when I arrived was "Uncle Ryan are you going to get a plastic eye?" I was confused until she told me it was because her dad said he broke my eye. (He did. It's un-fixable. You'll notice when I'm tired). Elliott's most recent accomplishment, which she showed me enthusiastically, was being able to jump out of her swing at the apex. I was suitably impressed.
Flower Dog
Yes. She’s in the wedding. If you’re surprised, you probably shouldn’t come ;)
