There are many hotel options near our ceremony and reception venues to suit your needs! Here are some suggestions to get you started. Near our ceremony: 1) The Westin (11 Colonel By Dr) - This hotel is a 12 minute walk to the ceremony at Notre Dame Cathedral, and an 8 minute drive/uber to Lago. 2) Andaz (325 Dalhousie St) - This hotel is an 8 minute walk to Notre Dame, and a 12 minute drive/uber to Lago. Near our reception: 3) SoHo Champagne (111 Champagne Ave) - This hotel is a 13 minute drive/uber to Notre Dame, and an 8 minute walk from our reception venue at Lago. 4) Best Western Plus (1274 Carling Ave) - This hotel is a 12 minute drive/uber to Notre Dame, and a 6 minute drive/uber to Lago. For those feeling luxurious: 5) Lord Elgin (100 Elgin St) - This hotel is a 15 minute walk to Notre Dame, and a 9 minute drive/uber to Lago. 6) Fairmont Château Laurier (1 Rideau St) - This hotel is a 10 minute walk to Notre Dame, and a 10 minute drive/uber to Lago.

Parking information

PARKING AT NOTRE DAME There is parking available to our guests for the duration of the ceremony, just behind the Cathedral. It can be accessed off Parent Ave. If you park in the Cathedral's parking lot, you will be given a pass to display on your dashboard so you do not have to pay, and you won't get ticketed. It will be valid until 4:30pm. It is public parking, so we aren't guaranteed a number of spaces - should it be full, there is also street parking available, parking at the National Art Gallery as well as two parking garages nearby. PARKING AT LAGO There is a large parking lot available across the street from Lago. For weddings at Lago, there is flat rate of 7$ to park overnight until 10:30am the next morning. If you pick up your car after 10:30am, the flat rate for overnight parking is $14. As you leave Lago at the end of the night, you will receive a stamped receipt to give the parking attendant when you get your car the next morning.

AirBnb

There are many AirBnb options around Ottawa for those wanting a larger, more home-y stay, or for out of town guests who are in Ottawa for a longer stay. We suggest looking for something in the Byward Market to be closer to the ceremony, or Little Italy to be closer to the reception. Centertown, the Golden Triangle, and the Glebe are beautiful neighbourhoods, and great options that are in between both venues! Let us know if you have any questions about your AirBnb search!

Travel Note

Getting around

Notre Dame Cathedral is a 10 minute walk from Rideau station on the LRT (line 1). You can transfer to Line 2 at Bayview station and get off at Carling station, which is a quick 4 minute walk to Lago. There are always lots of ubers and taxis around the city for quick and easy transportation.
