Our versions of this story differ.. ever... so... slightly. But the ending is the same— happily ever after. The story goes that one fine Sunday at church in NYC, Mark saw Mary, time stopped and it was “crush-at-first-sight.” Unfortunately, Mary didn’t see Mark. After many weeks (maybe months... ok years...), Mark finally got the courage to shoot his shot and ask Mary out. This led to a series of fun, well planned dates, followed by a series of no dates - ouch. After several months of little interaction, Mark shot for “Round 2”. So on January 1, 2020, as a result of ambitious New Years resolutions and peer pressure from friends, Mark asked Mary out again! She said “heck yes!” [lol good one Mark, but he didn’t get off that easy]. The night consisted of small bites, a few beers and many games of pool. Neither Mary or Mark recall who won the pool, but some would say that both won in the end... While 2020 featured mandatory lockdowns, social distancing and a very dormant version of the city that never sleeps, Mark and Mary were given the opportunity to quickly grow close and become covid era besties. After much patience and many lockdown card games, Mark finally won Mary’s heart and M&M fell in love! So on February 6, 2021 during a game of pool, Mark took a knee and asked Mary to spend the rest of her life with him. Mary said, “yes” and here we are! We are thrilled to be getting married and appreciate all the love, support and prayers we have received along the way! Let the adventure begin...
