Jake and Calle both lived in Bromley Hall during their Sophomore year of college at OU. Calle was in the elevator leaving her dorm room with her best friend, Kenzie, when the elevator stopped on Jake's floor on the way down and Jake walked in. Calle quietly sat there and STARED at him the entire time... but as soon as he got off the elevator Calle turned to her best friend Kenzie and said "I don't know who he is but if I'm ever single again, I'm going to date him". Luckily, he was wearing his uniform that day so Calle found him on Instagram and they began following each other for a couple of years. Two years had passed and Calle forgot all about Jake until her senior year of college when they matched on Tinder. Calle quickly realized Jake was the guy she saw Sophomore year in the elevator, so she decided to message him. They exchanged numbers and had their first date the very next week at Ginger on Court Street. Jake and Calle only went on two or three dates until they made their relationship official on October 18th, 2017 and have been together ever since.

Ash Cave is a special place for Jake and Calle. They had a photoshoot there with friends, Tessa and Jake Lambert. During that photoshoot, Calle and Jake told each other how they loved one another for the first time. Fast forward to the day it all happened... It was Jake and Calle's last weekend together in Athens and Calle's birthday was on April 8th. They decided it would be great to celebrate in Athens one last time doing all of their favorite things before Jake graduated. The first thing on their agenda for "The Best Last Weekend in Athens" was to go to Ash Cave. So Jake packed a hiking bag and they got up early the next morning with their friends, Hunter & Kacie, and headed to Ash Cave. It was a beautiful spring morning for a hike. They hiked all of Ash Cave, stopped for a snack, then made their way back to Calle's favorite part... The waterfall. By the time they reached the waterfall, so many people were around so Jake suggested that they hike up to the flat rock overlooking the waterfall. Hunter & Kacie began taking pictures of Jake & Calle and after the last photo, Jake got down on one knee and proposed. As one could assume, Calle said "YES".
