Nope! The venue is on the beach but no activities will take place on the sand unless you choose to go on the beach directly. The ceremony is outside on the deck facing the beach but it is still on paved ground.
The event is more on the formal side but you can wear whatever you see fit to wear to an evening wedding. We will appreciate you coming either way.
Everyone will be assigned to a table but the dinner will be served buffet style. There will be a variety of food options including chicken, salad, mahi mahi, and other types of food you would expect on a Florida Beach. There will be kids food provided for the young ones and if anyone has any allergies, let us know.
Duh of course!! We are providing an open bar for 5 hours (1 for cocktail hour and 4 for the reception) and if we go over that time, drinks can be purchased or there are bars downstairs. We want everyone to have fun but also please drink responsibly. There are hotel rooms available and if you plan on drinking, please make the appropriate arrangements. This event will also be heavily photographed and recorded, which means don't do anything that you don't want proof of! lol we love you all and can't wait to celebrate.
However long you wish! We will be there with our families from Thursday-Sunday. Thursday is the rehearsal but other than that, we will be around the resort. If you wish to get there earlier, leave later, or only stay Friday for the wedding, that is totally okay.
The ceremony is starting right at 4:30. We would recommend arriving early to find parking, check into the hotel if staying, find your way to the Breezeway Deck and be sitting by 4:15 to allow a bit of time just in case. There will be some parking at the hotel and other lots around the area. To park at the venue, tell the person at the gate that you are there for a wedding and they will guide you from there.
