Smith Mountain Lake

Drew's first home when he moved to Virginia in 2014 was on Smith Mountain Lake. On the Bedford County side, there is Smith Mountain Lake State Park offering a beach and swimming. Lesser known, is the Franklin County Community Park on the other side of the lake (In Drew's eyes, the better of the two). Here there is also a smaller, usually less crowded beach and a fishing pier. Many different vendors to rent boats and personal watercraft for the day. Please reach out to Drew for recommendations.

For all the days along the way
