2020... what a year! With so much uncertainty in this world, there is one thing we are certain about - getting married! With COVID cases rising and no end to the pandemic in sight, we decided to cancel our February wedding. So....we got married in Florida Saturday November, 21st with some of our bridal party and family. While this is NOT how we saw our wedding, it was the most perfect day! For those of you that have asked - our registry can be found at https://www.zola.com/wedding/marryingmcgoff/registry We are so sorry we can't celebrate in person with you but please know your health and safety is our number one priority and we love you all!
Like many other millennials, the two of us (Kyle and Kate,) met on a dating app that Kate was working for. We initially matched with each other in February on an app called Hinge - but Kate, in typical fashion, got busy and forgot to message Kyle back. Fast forward a couple months later and we matched again on Bumble (the app Kate worked for). Kate had to cancel the first date due to her son, Max being sick but Kyle completely understood. A week later, our first date finally happened. After discussing our mutual love for Chick-fil-a, talking college football (go Dawgs and Tigers), and a few adventurous dates around Atlanta, it didn't take long for us to fall in love with each other. We knew it wasn't long before we both wanted to commit to each other, and the rest is history! With love, Kyle & Kate
Kyle had just moved to VA and we had gone about a month without seeing each other. Kyle had told Kate he was spending his two days off in Atlanta with family instead of coming to spend time with Kate's family in NYC. Kate was notttt happy! Come to find out Kyle was on a plane to NYC to give Kate the surprise of a lifetime. Kate and her family were bowling on Christmas Eve and Kate's best friend Brittany (who lives in the city) texted Kate saying she was right across the street and that we should come out and take pictures, of course Kate was down for a photo-op! Kate had NO idea that seeing Kyle was a possibility over the holiday season. So much so that she walked right by Kyle standing on the pier. Next thing Kate knew, Kyle grabbed her, spun her around, walked her to the edge of the pier (during sunset - GO KYLE!) and promised her his love for the rest of her life. Kate said YES, Max cried, Kate cried, we laughed and hugged, snuck in a few kisses, and our family was complete! We cant wait to share our love with all of you!
